APEX
NDPR 2023 compliant

Privacy, in plain language.

APEX is a research-based diagnostic developed by researchers at Covenant University. Here's exactly how we collect, use, and protect your data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

  • Identifiers you provide: email, name.
  • Context you provide: institution, programme, level, age band, gender (optional), current and target CGPA band.
  • Your 40 Likert responses and (if opted in) programme-cluster deep-dive responses.
  • Technical signals for security: hashed IP, user agent, timestamps.
  • Payment metadata handled entirely by Paystack — we never receive card data.

Why we process your data

  • To deliver your diagnostic report — lawful basis: performance of a contract.
  • For anonymized academic research — lawful basis: your explicit, separable consent.
  • To prevent abuse — lawful basis: legitimate interest.

Anonymization for research

When your data is used in research, your name, email, phone, and identifying demographic detail are stripped. You cannot be re-identified from any research output.

Where your data is stored

Data is stored on Supabase infrastructure (EU — London region). Transactional email is sent via Google Workspace Gmail API from a Covenant University account.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time from your dashboard, or by contacting azu.ezenwoke@covenantuniversity.edu.ng. Deleting your account removes identifiable data; any research copies are fully anonymized under your consent.

Children

APEX is intended for undergraduate and postgraduate students (typically 16+). If you are under 16, please use APEX with guardian consent.
